Did you know that honey never goes bad?
Well I don't know if we can say NEVER, but honey - edible honey - has been discovered in Egyptian pyramids and tombs. No joke. You can make your own lip balm with using honey. The people over at Burt's Bees may not like me telling you this, but it's actually quite simple.
1/2 cup grated bees wax (health store or many craft stores)
1 tablespoon of HONEY
5 vitamin E capsules (I have a little container of it rather than the capsules - just guesstimate)
1/4 cup coconut oil
You could add some vanilla if you wanted
Melt all ingredients in a pot or double boiler. Once melted pour into container of your choice. How recycle little make up tins, or bead making jars (at Michaels, 12 for like $2). Great to throw into your purse or stuff into a stocking this Christmas.
Rumor has it that eating local honey can improve your seasonal allergies.
So as much as I hate those buzzing little suckers - I have to give a shout out to bees. Good work guys.

Fascinating info on honey... a "perfect" food? It stands to reason that there are many positive attributes in honey, God gave it an infinite shelf life for a reason.
