Please know that I am not a sales person. I remember having a sales training course in one of my first jobs out of high school. I knew right away it was not my calling. There is an old selling exercise that instructs you to try to sell a pen. There are a million different ways I can try to sell you this pen. Lots of techniques to convince you to buy this superior pen. That kind of stuff is not in my nature - I suck at it. I believe that the first thing to cover is, do you need a pen??
In regards to the "pen" I'm selling - emergency food supply and storage - I know the answer. YES, you need it! You don't have to be Chicken Little to know that tough times are coming. We can't predict the specific kind of crap that is going to hit the proverbial fan, but watching the evening news is proof enough that things are headed south. I want you all to be prepared and you don't have to purchase products from me to do it. Of course I would love it if you did, but even more so I'd love for my friends, family and community to be safe and secure when an emergency strikes - and if there is one thing I know from my experience as a 911 Emergency Dispatcher, emergencies happen. They just do. In many forms. Are you ready?
