The North Idaho growing season is now over, but check this out for next year.
Suzanne Forsling lives in sunshine challenged Alaska. The side of her home that received the most rays also had the least amount of growing room. That coupled with the cold soil gave her limited opportunities for a vegetable garden. She came up with this clever idea. She installed rain gutters as planters on the side of her home. Obviously this takes up very little space and the heat and protection from the building gave her little crop the head start it needed. Read Suzanne's story at Juneau Empire News.
