Happy Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving.  Who doesn't?  It's the best of what life has to offer.  Food, Family and Football.  I have a lot to be thankful for.  My blessings are abundant.
This holiday after dinner, while you are letting the turkey settle and waiting for the pie, how about everyone write down what they feel thankful for.  Maybe set a time limit.  Include the kids.  If they are too little to write then have them contribute to your page.  When the time is up - look over your blessings and see how many things on the lists are unique to where you live.  Most likely much of what we have to be grateful for comes in part from being American.  If your list didn't already include it - why don't you add FREEDOM to it.  Remember that America provides freedom because we believe a self evident truth.  That truth is that we have unalienable rights that were endowed to us by our Creator.  We have men and women willing to die to uphold these rights. Rights given to us by a God and protected by U.S soldiers.  Now that is a reason to give thanks on this autumn Thursday.

We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
